FALLEN, NOT FORGOTTEN

A few years ago my young son and I explored our front yard looking for interesting leaves. As he shared what he found, I asked him to describe WHY he found his leaves interesting.

Was it the shape, color, or texture?
Did insects wear part of the leaf away?
How many different types of leaves did we find in our yard?

It was a fascinating exercise and a memorable time with my son.

Again interested and intrigued, I gathered and photographed hundreds of leaves in the fall of 2017 and shared one per day in the month of November on Instagram. You can now view all of the images below.

I hope you are inspired by the unexpected beauty and details just as I am.
